Fort Myers is a great place to live and work. Our skies are usually sunny and because we are close to the coast, there is generally a nice breeze. That is not to say we would want to live without air conditioning in the summer!
We have a good school system with several excellent private schools for those who choose that route. We have 2 public colleges/universities- Edison College which is now a 4 year institution and Florida Gulf Coast University. To our south, Ave Maria, a brand new Catholic University has just opened along with it’s own town. When we attended their grand opening a couple of months ago, it reminded me of a set for a Rogers and Hammerstein musical.
We have theater, music and art along with some excellent restaurants. The Junior League will be sponsoring A Taste of Fort Myers in November.
